Lagos State Traffic Management Authority has issued an official statement on the death of its official who was killed in line of duty
- The traffic control agency said it was saddened by the unfortunate incident that involved a killer police officer, Adeyemo Rotimi
- In a statement by the assistant police commissioner in Lagos, the killer cop was also beaten to stupor angry mob
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), in a condolence statement posted on its official Twitter handle, @followlastma, has reacted to the death of its officer, Adeyemo Rotimi, who was killed in line of duty by one Inspector Olakunle Olonade on Wednesday, November 28.
In a statement contained in its Twitter handle, LASTMA, which said it was saddened by the incident, added that its official was "murdered in cold blood."
Legit.ng gathers that the LASTMA official was shot dead by the police operative following an argument that ensued as a result of violation of traffic law by the police officer at Iyana Ijapa roundabout.
Announcing the death of their colleague, LASTMA posted: "We are deeply saddened to confirm the death of one of our gallant officers, Adeyemo Rotimi, who was murdered in cold blood by suspected FSARS operative while discharging his lawful duties at his point in Iyana Ipaja on the Wednesday, November 28, 2018."

Earlier, the assistant commissioner of police, Abayomi Shogunle, announced through his Twitter handle, @YomiShogunle, that the killer officer had also given up the ghost following a mob attack on him at the scene of the incident.
He said:"The inspector that allegedly shot dead late Rotimi Adeyemo 'm' at Iyana-Ipaja roundabout, Lagos at 6pm of November 28, 2018, was beaten to stupor by irate mob at the scene.
"This policeman also died while being rushed to the hospital."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Lagos commissioner of police, Edgal Imohimi, had directed a posthumous investigation into the death of Inspector Olukunle Olonade, who was allegedly killed after shooting a man, Rotimi Adeyemi, suspected to be official of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
In a statement signed by Lagos police command public relation officer, Chike Oti, the unfortunate incident occurred on Wednesday, November 28, at 6pm when Rotimi and Olonade were locked into a street assault as a result of violation of traffic law.
