The World Boxing Federation (WBF) Intercontinental super featherweight bout between Nigeria’s Seun Wahab and Tanzania’s Issa “Peche Boy” Nampepeche will headline the 17th edition of GOtv Boxing Night.
This was announced on Thursday, November 29, by the organizers of the event at a press conference held in Lagos.
The WBF Intercontinental super featherweight clash will give the winner the opportunity to have a shot at the WBF world title in the division.

However, the bout between Wahab and Nampepeche is not the only international clashes billed to take place at the event holding on December 28 at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.
The second international duel in the eight-fight line-up will see US-based Nigerian Oluwafemi "The Eagle" Oyeleye take on Meshack "Smart Boy" Mwankemwa of Tanzania in a middleweight challenge.
Also billed to fight for light welterweight title is fans' favourite, Olaide “Fijaborn” Fijabi, who will face Yusuf Mufutau.
Other bouts include national lightweight challenge duels between African Boxing Union champion, Oto “Joe Boy” Joseph and Hammed "Ese" Hammed Ganiyu, Rilwan “Real One” Oladosu against Mubarak Hamzat, and Ridwan “Scorpion” Oyekola against Nurudeen "Prince" Fatai.
In the middleweight division, Femi 'Small Tyson' Akintayo will take on Ebubechukwu "Coded Man" Eze, a graduate of GOtv Boxing NextGen Search 1, while the bantamweight division will see Opeyemi Adeyemi come up against Jamiu Dada.
The best boxer on the night will go home with a cash prize of N1.5m and the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Taiwo 'Esepo' Agbaje picked up a cash prize of N1.5 million alongside the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial trophy after emerging the best boxer at the 16th edition of the competition.
Agbaje emerged best boxer of the night after victory against Tope ‘TP Rock’ Musa.
