not bravo Race row as ex-France star hails Da Costa goal as 'not bad for a black guy'

OOTBALL was caught up in a new race storm last night when a commentator hailed a goal as being "not bad for a black guy".
Former France international Daniel Bravo was working as a pundit for beIN Sports when he made his remark about Strasbourg's Nuno da Costa.
Bravo, 56, voiced his shocking comment after Da Costa had scored in his side's 4-0 win over Reims.
His remark sparked fury among those watching the Ligue 1 match - and led to the ex-Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain star offering grovelling apologies.
The former midfielder, part of France's victorious Euro 94 winning squad, claimed it had been a slip of the tongue and a one-off mistake.
And beIN Sports said: "beIN SPORTS and its consultant apologise for the remarks made during the Strasbourg - Reims match, which can be considered shocking and are counter to the values advocated by the channel and its editorial staff.
"beIN SPORTS recalls that it fights against all forms of discrimination, in particular racism, and promotes diversity, equality and respect through all its broadcasts."
Bravo then sought out Strasbourg star Da Costa immediately after the match to offer a personal apology, which was accepted by the player.
Da Costa posed for a picture with Bravo which he posted on social media giving his forgiveness.
He wrote: "No worries, a slip of the tongue happens, he works too much! @beinsports_EN stop the games in the middle of the week please."
The incident on Wednesday came just a day after Juventus star Moise Kean was targeted with racist chants by Cagliari supporters.
And the incident brought more controversy when his Juve team-mate Leonardo Bonucci amazingly claiming Kean was partly to blame for the abuse because he celebrated a goal in front of the opposition fans.
