At least 23 inmates of the Ikoyi Prisons School sat for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Concise Newsunderstands that inmates in Ikoyi Prisons, Lagos, were eager to sit for the exams as examiners turned up to administer the examination for them behind the bars. According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the Principal of the facility’s school, ASP Ibikunle Idris, said a total of 25 of the inmates actually registered for the examination but that 23 sat for the examination.
JAMB: Three Arrested For 2019 UTME Double Registration
Police in Ibadan Thursday arraigned three persons in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court for alleged double registration for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) – an examination organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Concise Newslearned that Lateef Adegbite, 18, Agbo Okaku, 18, and Olajuwon Awosika , 33, were arraigned on a two–count charge of double registration and examination malpractice. It was gathered that the Prosecutor, Insp James Oriola, told the court that Adegbite, Okaku and Awosika conspired to commit the offences with others at large.
