President Buhari renames Abuja Stadium after MKO Abiola

President Muhammadu Buhari has renamed the Abuja National Stadium after MKO Abiola, the presumed winner of the June 12, 1993 election.

He made the declaration while delivering his speech during the Democracy Daycelebrations at Eagles Square, Abuja,

“Today, I propose the renaming of the Abuja National Stadium. Henceforth it will be called the Moshood Abiola National Stadium,” Buhari said.
