Super Eagles emerge 2nd youngest national team in world football

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have emerged the second youngest national team in world football according to statistics released by Transfermarket.
A breakdown of the data made public showed that the average age of Super Eagles member is placed at 24.1, a figure that was beaten by Mexico’s Tri Color, whose squad member averages 23.5.
At the last count, the quartet of Maduka Okoye, Samuel Chukwueze, Francis Uzoho, and Victor Osimhen are all within 20 years bracket, while other Super Eagles teammates are still in their 20s.
England’s Three Lions are third on the log with an average age of 25.0.
Interestingly, other countries that made the top 10 cut are USA (25.2), Wales (25.3), Tunisia (25.5), Germany (25.6), Brazil (25.7), Argentina (26.0) and Italy (26.1).
Meanwhile, Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has applauded his side’s performance in the 1-1 draw with Brazil’s Selecao on Sunday, October 13, at Singapore National Stadium.
Joe Aribo netted Nigeria’s opener in the 35th minute, but the five–time world champions equalized three minutes after the restart, to see both sides share the spoils after 90 minutes.
