Independence Day is an official national holiday in Nigeria, celebrated on the first of October. It marks Nigeria's proclamation of independence from British rule on 1 October 1960. The holiday is celebrated annually by the government of Nigeria. The festivities begin with the President's address to the people, which is broadcast on radio and television. You will receive a notification about the presidential address at 8am tomorrow morning from Scooper.Another integral part of the festivities is the military parade in Abuja, the parade of students and unions to the folk music and concerts of famous artists.

For being a proud Nigerian, you can win cash, airtime, gadgets and much more during the Independence Celebration Season starting on October 1st, 2019 to October 7, 2019. To commemorate the National achievement, I have a lot of prizes and two fun games to match the excitement. These games are designed to celebrate you and the key people considered heroes in Nigeria.

ON INSTAGRAM AND TWITTER: 

An image will be published to announce the NIGERIA WRITES competition which requires that you write a 3-LINE POEM about your choice of word using the letters that form NIGERIA. You can share this with your friends right now as anyone with a smart phone can participate. Winners will be selected for airtime and cash prizes daily - from October 1, 2019 to October 7, 2019. The first day's letter is N (NIGERIA) and the second day's letter is I (NIGERIA). On your part, represent the letters with a word that best describes Nigeria and do a 3 lines write up on it about Nigeria. e.g  N- Nature(Day 1) .  I- illustrious (Day 2) G- Great (Day 3)  E-Eventful (Day 4) R- Resilient (Day 5) I- Impactful(Day 6) A- Accommodating (Day 7) This is the process until the 7th day. GUIDELINES

•       Pick a word that best describes NIGERIA for each day based on the letters that form the name

•       Scooper will provide an image that must be used when posting your 3 line poem

•       You are to do a 3 line poetry based on the letters that form the Name " N I G E R I A"

•       Poems must not exceed 3 lines and should be sent to Scooper Twitter's DM each day of the day competition (October 1st- 7th)

•       Submission for poems can happen every day until the last day, October 7, 2019 

ON FACEBOOK:

Questions will be asked about different popular super stars in Nigeria (past and present). Daily, you are to answer the question asked and next to your answer, tag 10 of your Facebook friends who must be following Scooper before your entry/answer can be considered. The fun continues as I have hidden headshots in some articles. These headshots contain so many faces of Nigerian stars. Starting from October 1, 2019, you are to take a full page screenshot of ONLY Politicians (Past and Present) when you find any. If you are the best hunter in this hide and seek, you will likely have twenty-one politicians in your possession by October 7, 2019. For HIDE AND SEEK, prize winner will be determined on October 7, 2019 and announced on October 8, 2019.
